The Hunt Begins...

We're required to either visit a museum or get a job interview during this course, and considering my goal is to have a job secured before graduation, I'm obviously opting for the interview.

It's been a while since I've had to job hunt. I remember when I first started at CSUSB I was looking for work like a madwoman. I applied to over 32 places, none of which I heard back from (except for an email from Target that said "Sorry, we're not hiring"...which, if that was the case, what's up with the giant "HIRING" sign next to the automatic door?). Being aware that I was completely overqualified for most of the work I was applying for, I'd made this sketch out of frustration:

This time around it's a little different. I'll have a degree, and the jobs I'm looking for are competitive. I want something with good pay, benefits, and...well, lets be honest...something I can be proud to say I do.

Finding sources for these opportunities has proven to be a bit tough. Right now my search has been purely online, places like SimplyHired.com or Monster.com. But I'm snooping around to see if I can catch wind of somewhere better. (As soon as I know, I'll let you all in on the secret...until you start snatching interviews from me.)

And now, to keep you entertained, a quote from ClientsFromHell.net:

"Can you make the red of that traffic light more red? Google ‘red’ to find different shades."

See you all in class.
